Heart health worse in country areas

Where you live is having an impact on heart health.

Royal Flying Doctor data has found people living in country areas are one-point-six times more likely to be hospitalised for coronary heart disease than those in the capital cities.

On average 112 patients per week are retrieved by the flying doctor from country areas, and taken to major hospitals for heart treatment.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Heart Foundation Chief Executive Professor John Kelly.
