Triple gold medallist shines as Australia dominates the velodrome
Just two years ago, Great Britain dominated our cyclists at the Rio Olympics.
Britain took home six gold medals, with the Aussies not winning one.
Now, the tide has turned.
Our cyclists have owned the Anna Meares Velodrome at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, winning a total of 10 gold and smashing the competition out of the water.
27-year-old South Australian Stephanie Morton has been a stand-out, taking home three gold medals and one silver.
Steph tells Alan she’s running on three hours sleep but is still on cloud nine.
“I’m still running on the buzz of last night.
“Hats off to Australia, they put on a great show.”
