A teenager is dead, and another is in hospital after their ute crashed into a parked tow truck on Sydney’s upper north shore.
Paramedics were called to Duffy Avenue at Thornleigh at around 1.20am.
They treated the 18-year-old p-plate driver but he couldn’t be saved and died at the scene.
The male passenger, believed to be in his late teens, has been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with minor injuries.
Witnesses say the driver appeared to be heavily intoxicated… with others saying they had been at a nearby park with another group of friends.
Those claims will be investigated and compiled in a report for the Coroner.
