Queensland utility Michael Morgan is hoping Billy Slater leaves the Origin arena on a high, after more than a decade of success in Maroon.

Slater will suit up for the last time this series, joining Cameron Smith and Johnathan Thurston in rep retirement.

Morgan joined Alan Jones a week out from Origin I, saying it presents a challenge for others coming through.

“It’s someone else’s opportunity now and hopefully we can send Billy out a winner.”
