Bega Cheese buys new factory
Bega Cheese’s growth in Victoria has taken a significant step forward – acquiring Murray Goulburn’s Koroit processing factory from Saputo for $250 million.
The facility processes about 300 mega litres of milk into butter and powders.
It’s expected the factory will turnover about $20 million a year, based on the current intake.
Bega Cheese is also promising there’ll be no job loses as part of the acquisition.
Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Executive Chairman Barry Irvin.
