The foundation picking up footy players who’ve fallen on hard times
Since 2002, the Men of League Foundation has been supporting those within the football community who’ve fallen on hard times.
Whether you’re a tuckshop volunteer or a former first-grade footballer, the foundation is there to step in when things get tough.
Men of League CEO Stephen Lowndes tells Chris Smith they’re doing important work but need the public’s help to continue their operations.
“It is a wonderful foundation.
“It’s been doing tremendous work, not just for first-grade players but for all the men, women and children of the rugby league community.”
To raise much-needed funds, the foundation is holding their Annual Gala Dinner on August 15 and they’re encouraging one and all to come along.
Chris says you may even get the chance to rub shoulders with rugby league royalty…
