The Spectator is one of the most prominent political magazines across the UK and Australia.

And publisher Andrew Neil joins Alan Jones in the studio, alongside Australian editor Rowan Dean, for the 10th anniversary of the magazine in Australia.

“Andrew is one of the most distinguished newspaper people in the world,” says Alan.

When asked if Australian politics is swimming against the tide, Mr Neil says, “We don’t even know which way the tide’s going these days.”

“This has been the most discombobulated period of politics I’ve ever covered.

“And you think it’s bad in Australia… but actually when you look around the world, everything’s unpredictable now.

“The kaleidoscope has broken into many parts and we still don’t know how the parts are going to come together again.”
