Ray Hadley blasts Corrections Minister over never-ending prison scandals
Ray Hadley is calling out the countless scandals that are continuing to happen under Corrections Minister David Elliott’s watch.
A parliamentary inquiry has been launched into Parklea jail, where countless bungles have come to light.
At that prison alone there have been reports of bashings, drug use, mobile phone use and suicides under supervision.
Delivery drivers have even been able to enter the prison without being searched.
Ray says he has personally submitted 50 pages of evidence into the inquiry at Parklea.
But that’s not even close to the end of it.
In July, Ray exclusively revealed a corrections officer had been suspended for having sex with cop killer Sione Penisini.
“I exposed that, not the minister. I told him about it,” says Ray.
“He’s standing around with his head stuck up his backside as far as I can see. If I know about it, why doesn’t he know about it?”
And just this week, the chaos continued as two inmates escaped from Kemsey jail with a two-hour head start. One inmate is still on the run.
Numerous officers have contacted Ray, telling him they don’t feel safe at work anymore.
Ray says Premier Gladys Berejiklian can no longer stay quiet on the issue.
“I’m telling you now, I’m putting you on notice as well.
“You keep nursing (Corrective Services NSW Commissioner) Peter Severin and the minister and they’ll die in your arms because they’re both mugs.”

Mr Elliott’s office has since contacted the Ray Hadley Morning program, claiming the minister was told about the sex scandal involving Sione Penisini by Commissioner Severin, not Ray.
But Ray isn’t copping it.
“Pig’s bum, he knew nothing about it when I spoke to him on the phone.
“Don’t tell lies, David, because you’ll get caught.”
The minister claims he was informed about Penisini on the July 20 and it has Ray wondering why the cop killer wasn’t moved from Kempsey until after the story was exposed.
“He didn’t get moved until after I reported the matter. I reported on the 23rd, he got moved on the 24th.
“You claim you knew about it on the 20th, but he was still in Kempsey.”
