Invictus Games is far more than just a sporting competition
Prince Harry’s Invictus Games unites thousands of wounded veterans from around the world through sport.
But unlike most sporting competitions, this event isn’t about winning medals.
For the 500 competitors from all around the globe competing at the week-long games in Sydney this month, being there is victory enough.
Invictus Games CEO Patrick Kidd tells Ben Fordham despite Prince Harry’s connection, “he would be the first to say the games aren’t about him”.
“They’re about those competitors and their families that participate in this incredible event.
“What he brings to it is something that’s quite special, quite unique. But at the end of the day, it comes down to those individuals who participate and their beautiful families.”
