‘A dagger through the heart’: Community mourns loss of nine-year-old Charlise Mutten
There’s an outpouring of grief in the Tweed, and around the country, for murdered schoolgirl Charlise Mutten.
Teachers, friends and members of the community have gathered at the nine-year-old’s school in Tweed Heads for a candlelit vigil.
The girl’s stepfather has been charged with her murder as her body was found in barrel near Sydney’s Colo River.
Tweed MP Geoff Provest told Ben Fordham the school is part of a tight-knit community.
“It’s really a dagger through the heart of our local community.”
