Olympic legend Daley Thompson will be joining in on an 800-kilometre cycle to raise money to tackle rare diseases.

Participants in the Steve Waugh Foundation’s Captain’s Ride will travel through regional Queensland over six days to raise money for children affected by a rare disease.

Former Decathlon world record holder Daley Thompson tells Alan Jones he will be joining the ride for the fifth year.

“It is something that I really look forward to each year.”

Alan says, “Daley Thompson is a giver, he has taken from the sport and he now gives back.”
