‘A gutless sell-out’: Ben Franklin joins the list of political rats
Nationals MP Ben Franklin will run for President of the Upper House, gaining a $150,000 pay rise, when parliament resumes today.
Mr Franklin’s move for presidency has not been without scandal, as former Nationals leader Paul Toole was booted following accusations of deceiving the public about his endorsement of Franklin.
Franklin was re-elected seven weeks ago, committing to an eight-year term and is now “switching sides”.
“Ben Franklin now joins the dishonourable list of political rats,” said Ben.
