A whopping $365m earmarked for Indigenous Voice referendum
The federal government is sparing no expense for the Indigenous Voice referendum, dedicating $365m over the next three years.
The allocation includes $10.6m for informational pamphlets outlining the ‘yes’ and ‘no’ cases, $12m for civics education and $10.5m to bolster mental health support for Indigenous people during the referendum period.
Critics question if the money might have been better spent elsewhere given the current economic climate.
