‘Absolutely appalling’: Jim Wilson slams government decision to end isolation payments
Jim Wilson has condemned the government’s decision to end the payment scheme that allows casual workers to collect a wage while isolating with covid.
“I reckon this is a disgraceful decision by Jim Chalmers and Anthony Albanese,” he said.
Australian Medical Association Vice President Dr Chris Moy joined Jim on Drive to talk about the mixed messages and outcomes of the decision.
“If they don’t get a test, what they do is they go to work and spread it around,” he said.
Mr Moy also spoke about the government’s decisions to withdraw extra telehealth services as well as the concessional RAT test subsidy.
