The police investigation into missing three-year-old AJ in the NSW Hunter Region has been concluded.

Anthony “AJ” Elfalak, who has autism and is non-verbal, went missing from a rural Putty property in September.

He was found after three days in bushland and reunited with his family.

Hunter Valley Police District Commander Superintendent Tracy Chapman told Ben Fordham his disappearance was a result of misadventure.

“Our investigators are satisfied that AJ was lost in the bush for three days with no evidence at all being identified to suggest otherwise.”
