Alan grills Premier Gladys Berejiklian
Alan grills Premier Gladys Berejiklian in a wide-ranging interview, covering the major issues affecting New South Wales.
Starting with rising energy prices, Ms Berejiklian says her government will not be rushing towards renewable energies like other states.
“NSW is the most resilient state when it comes to our energy needs. Unlike South Australia and the other states, we haven’t moved to renewables at a pace which is threatening to put up prices or is threatening our supply.
“In fact what really scares us the most is that because we’re part of a national grid, when the other states misbehave or don’t have sufficient resources it hurts our citizens.”
The Premier once again guaranteed they would be moving ahead with the plan to knock down and rebuild both Allianz and ANZ Stadiums.
“That’s a no-brainer. The stadium doesn’t comply with a whole range of codes, the licence we have for it to operate only lasts until the end of this year.
“It’s sub-standard in every single way, it’s 30-years-old, so Alan there is no reason why a good government should not invest in that infrastructure and rebuild the stadium.”
Ms Berejiklian was also questioned about the worsening drought in the Hunter Valley, mining licences confiscated from NuCoal and cleaning up the share bikes mess plaguing Sydney.
