‘Always a complex day’: The bitter sweetness of Anzac Day
A former soldier who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Solomon Islands believes Anzac Day is bittersweet.
Chair of Invictus Australia, James Brown, told Deborah Knight the scars run deep.
“It’s a day that gets in people’s memories very early on and shapes them for the rest of their lives.
“It’s really important to reflect on the significance of what you’ve done and why you did it.”
