Legendary Aussie producer pays tribute to Angela Lansbury
British actress Dame Angela Lansbury has died at the age of 96.
She began her career in black and white films with some of her most memorable roles including Bed Knobs and Broomsticks, the voice of Mrs Potts in Beauty and the Beast and as author and amateur crime fighter Jessica Fletcher in ‘Murder, She Wrote’.
Lansbury received three best-supporting actress Oscar nominations, won five Tony awards and is in the TV hall of fame.
Legendary Australian producer John Frost brought Lansbury Down Under in Driving Miss Daisy.
“Everything you would like to think a person could be … she was in real life,” he told Ben Fordham.
