A flood survivor from central NSW has confronted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in a fiery exchange for being overseas as floods ripped through his town.

Mr Albanese was confronted by the angry local as he toured the town of Eugowra , where hundreds were evacuated last week after a flash flood swept through.

Eugowra plasterer Anthony Robinson accused Mr Albanese of hypocrisy for attacking Scott Morrison for ‘not holding a hose’ – but then being overseas during a natural disaster.

He told Ben Fordham the reason he spoke out was because he didn’t want the town to become another slogan for a politician.

“We need real help out here. The Prime Minister was elected to represent the Australian people, he should have been here.”
