ARIA winner walks away from the big smoke to teach in the country
Aussie teacher and author Sarah Donnelley is using her talents to connect people with outback country and culture.
Her latest memoir, Big Things Grow, details her story on taking herself from a fairly great teaching career in Sydney and moving to a small rural town.
Through music and understanding community and cultural roots, Sarah uses these as key teaching methods to help children grow.
Ms Donnelley told Deborah Knight the book shows us how making brave changes to our lives can open us up to endless possibilities.
“It’s just been an extraordinary experience.”
