Andrew Bogut has been cleared to make his NBL debut in the Sydney Kings’ season opener, after a brief injury scare.

The Kings take on Adelaide at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena tomorrow, with anticipation reaching fever pitch.

Basketball fans are talking up the team’s impressive roster, with coach Andrew Gaze admitting anything but the NBL Championship would be a disappointment.

Bogut tells Alan Jones, after 13 years in the NBA, his body has taken plenty of knocks but is ready to go.

“Battling with those guys takes its toll and I had two years in college before that.

“But, pretty good for a 33-year-old with a lot of injuries.”

The seven-foot tall centre says he can’t wait to get back on court in front of Aussie fans and wants Alan to join him.

“We’ll have to get you out to a game as well.”
