Aussie butcher gets opportunity of a lifetime during PM’s state visit to US
A local butcher has received the opportunity of a lifetime after he was asked to cook up a classic Aussie barbeque during Scott Morrison’s state visit to the US.
The Prime Minister arrived in Washington DC this morning after being invited to attend a state visit with the US President, which is the first time an Australian Prime Minister has been offered the honour since 2006.
Mr Morrison will attend a state dinner with President Trump tonight, and one incredible Aussie butcher will be right there amongst the action.
Owner of Tender Gourmet Butchery Adam Stratton was asked by the Australian Embassy to put two huge barbeques together for over 300 important dignitaries.
He’s even had the chance to cook for golf legend Greg Norman!
Adam spoke to Ben Fordham from Washington DC, telling him he still can’t believe any of this is happening.
“I’ve got a White House visit! Can you believe it? A local butcher gets a White House visit!”
He tells Ben all about the barbeque he’s preparing, which showcases some incredible local Aussie produce.
