Legendary NBA player and icon Shaquille O’Neal has left fans upset after failing to show up to several meet-and-greets in Sydney and Melbourne.

A listener contacted Ray Hadley to inform him how “let down” fans were after Shaq failed to appear at JD Sports on Pitt St in Sydney.

Several fans had either won a competition or paid high prices to meet the superstar.

“According to one person, he walked in the front door and went out the back door, people had been there for five hours waiting to meet him,” Ray said.

“It’s a promotional disaster for JD Sports!”

Ray also revealed numerous listener emails describing their experiences when waiting for the former NBA champion at a Star Casino meet-and-greet.

O’Neal was only at the casino for an hour before leaving fans “high and dry”.

Fans that were disappointed by the failures of the several meet-and-greets have been encouraged to push for a refund.
