Aussies flock to Sydney Fish Market for final hours of Christmas sale
Thousands of Australians are flocking into the Sydney Fish Market as Christmas preparations begin.
More than 130 tonnes of prawns are expected to be sold as more than 100,000 people rush through the fish market gates during its 36-hour trade in the lead up to Christmas.
Sydney Fish Market CEO Greg Dyer tells Mark Levy that despite the effect of drought on seafood, customers won’t be hit with extreme prices.
“The medium-sized tiger prawns are really at prices which are quite close to what we were selling last year.
“There’s a prawn and fish down here for everybody’s taste and everybody’s budget.”
