Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has called on Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe to “do better” after she once again made headlines for interrupting Senate proceedings with a politically motivated rant.

Ms Thorpe’s actions come after she was suspended from the Senate on Wednesday for yelling at One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson, tossing torn-up documents at her, and making an obscene gesture.
