Australians urged to ‘line the streets’ when athletes return after historic performance at Olympics
Australians have been urged to “line the streets” when the athletes return from Paris after delivering the greatest medal haul in Australian history at the Olympics with still a few days to go.
It comes after four gold medals overnight, with Wide World of Sports host Mark Levy stating “we’re punching well above our weight”.
“We should be lining the streets when these athletes return home because they’ve given us so much joy over the last two weeks,” Levy said.
