The Solomon Islands has officially signed its security agreement with China and Jim Wilson has questioned the Australian government’s role throughout.

Jim said the deal is a huge concern and the government has “dropped the ball”.

Some serious questions need to be asked of the federal government here, have they been too naive when it comes to dealing with the Solomon Islands?” Jim said.

“Have they dropped the ball and allowed China to… how can I say… grease the palms of the Solomon Islands politicians to gain influence?”
