‘Back it up!’: Defence Minister challenges Bob Carr’s leaked text claim
Defence Minister Peter Dutton has hit back at former NSW premier Bob Carr.
Mr Carr last week claimed Mr Dutton leaked infamous text messages, which referred to the Prime Minister as a “complete psycho”.
The minister who shared the text with van Onselen and gave permission to use it was Peter Dutton. If PM Morrison has one more week in free fall the prospect of a leadership change pre-election is real. Party rules don’t count if most MPs think you will lead them to defeat.

Mr Dutton insists there’s no truth to the claim, telling Ray Hadley he’s not sure Mr Carr’s “the full quid”.
“He makes these statements, let him back it up!”
“I think he’s after a headline, desperate for a bit of relevance.”
