Bali bombing memorial exemption rejection overturned
A yearly ceremony to mark the Bali bombings will go ahead despite NSW Health knocking back the request for an exemption.
The Health Minister overruled his department, granting an exemption for the 100 person event on October 12.
The 2002 attacks killed 88 Australians, including six members of the Coogee Dolphins Rugby League club.
Coogee Dolphins President Paul Vanni told Chris Smith the ceremony “means so much”.
“We’re so proud and so happy that it is going ahead.”
