‘Bastard should be in jail’: Ray’s passionate response as domestic abuser avoids jail

A passionate Ray Hadley did not hold back following the shocking outcome of a case where a man who pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault on his heavily pregnant wife avoided jail.
Brendan Howe, 35, a builder from Canberra, avoided jail and walked from the ACT Supreme Court with a seven-month suspended sentence and a one-year good behaviour order.
“There’s got to be a shred of decency somewhere in the ACT Labor Green government that says, ‘No, we won’t tolerate this. We’re going to appeal that inadequate sentence’,” Ray said.
