Ben Fordham slams government’s ‘pet policy destined to fail’

Article image for Ben Fordham slams government’s ‘pet policy destined to fail’

Ben Fordham is urging the Morrison government to reconsider its commitment to the religious freedoms bill.

The bill originally included giving religious schools the right to suspend or expel students based on their sexuality.

The Australian Christian Lobby is threatening to withdraw its support for the bill if the clause isn’t reinstated.

“Forming laws around religion is a losing battle,” Ben said.

“I’m not convinced that this is an issue ordinary people are demanding action over.

“Make no mistake – The religious freedom bill is destined to fail.”
