Ben Fordham’s cousin Tori has shared her emotional personal story as to why Channel 9’s ‘Light Up Christmas Appeal’ means so much to her.

Tori’s son Luca passed away at the age of 5 last year in October after suffering a stroke.

The appeal raises money for sick children and their families with a goal of raising more than $8m.

Every cent raised goes to the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Tori told Ben the appeals have helped her family tremendously after Luca spent his final days at the Children’s Hospital in Randwick.
