BEST EVER: Australia claims four gold medals on record day at Olympics
Australia is basking in the glory on a golden day at the Olympics in Paris, winning four gold medals in five hours to make this our most successful Games ever.
It started with Matt Wearn defending his Sailing gold he won his Tokyo, making it back-to-back titles in the Dinghy class on the water in Marseille.

Australia golden run continued in the Skateboarding, with Keegan Palmer also defended the same Olympic title he won three years ago in the Park event.

Then it was our Team Pursuit team on the track, who defeated Great Britain in the gold medal race to win that title for the first time in 20 years.

And finally, Nina Kennedy because the first Australian female to win a field event at the Olympics, edging out her rival Katie Moon to claim gold in the Pole Vault.

Australia ended Day 12 at the Paris Olympics with 18 gold medals, making it the country’s most successful Games ever.
