Queensland Coach Billy Slater says Maroons fans can be really proud of their state after a successful Origin campaign.

Despite losing game three 24-10 to the Blues at Accor Stadium on Wednesday, the Maroons were the better team throughout the series.

Slater has told The Continuous Call Team he hasn’t had much time to digest the series but is extremely proud to be their coach.

“Looking at the series as a whole, I’m really proud of the team and I think Queenslanders will be really proud of their footy team,” Slater said.

“The adversity they overcame in Game one in Adelaide, to pull that one out of the fire was remarkable.”
