Boris Johnson steps down as UK Prime Minister
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced his resignation, after days of speculation about whether he could remain in the country’s top job.
He’s stepping down following intense pressure to quit after dozens of ministers resigned.
Mr Johnson could remain as caretaker Prime Minister for several months until a new leader is chosen before the party conference in October.
The former senior advisor to Boris Johnson is James McGrath.
He told Chris Smith that Mr. Johnson is “devastated”.
“He’s already started to think about his next book.”
