ALL Sydney trains CANCELLED today
Sydney trains will not be running today after a breakdown in negotiations with the Rail, Tram and Bus Union.
The RBTU withdrew from negotiations on Sunday afternoon, with the suspension announced in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Union says the decision to shut down the network was made by the government.
The Sydney Light Rail is operating as normal.
Sydney Trains CEO Matt Longland told Ben Fordham people are being encouraged to avoid travel.
“We will continue to do everything we can to find a solution as quickly as possible.”

Roads Minister Natalie Ward told Ben Fordham no fines will be issued for people using transit lanes today.
“I’ve asked for all the T2 and T3 lanes to be opened.”
