Australia is taking immediate action as the situation is intensifying between Russia and Ukraine.
Australian embassy staff and officials have been ordered to evacuate Ukraine immediately after President Vladimir Putin’s decision to send in ‘peacekeeping troops’.
Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne announced the embassy and operations in Lviv are temporarily closed.
Professor Simon Jackman from the U-S Studies Centre at Sydney University told Jim Wilson “sanctions” need to be the next point of action.
