John Barilaro has announced he will resign as Deputy Premier.

The member for Monaro will quit as Nationals Leader with a party room meeting to be held on Wednesday to decide on the new Leader.

A by-election will be planned for the seat of Monaro.

As we emerge from lockdown, we must embrace this time as a new beginning for our State, and welcome the opportunity it presents for a refresh.
