Father and 10-year-old daughter missing in Thredbo found
A father and his ten-year-old daughter who got lost in Thredbo after becoming separated from their snowboarding group have been found.
The father called NSW Ambulance at 3.08pm this afternoon, telling them he and his daughter were lost in deep snow without their snowboards.
He also told them he had very little battery left on his phone at the time.
NSW Ambulance, firefighters and community volunteers launched a desperate search for the pair.
First responders initially struggled to reach them as they were located in difficult terrain 700 metres down a slope.
Police have confirmed they are now with the pair, who fortunately ran into a group of snowboarders who contacted police.
The Alpine Rescue Crew quickly found the group.
They are not believed to be injured.
