A female correctional officer in NSW has been suspended on charges of misconduct after allegedly admitting to having a relationship with a prisoner at Macquarie Correctional Centre, as exclusively revealed by Ray Hadley.

Her phone has been seized by Corrective Services after she allegedly disclosed a “sexting” relationship between herself and the inmate.

Investigators are examining whether the relationship was also physical.

The woman, who has worked as a correctional officer for over a decade, has been suspended from her duties following the misconduct charge.
