Alleged conman Matthew Murdoch Mills has been arrested by police in Leeton, NSW. 

He is accused of forging documents to gain a financial advantage. The 56-year-old has been granted conditional bail and will face court next week.

Police have confirmed to 2GB that the man is in fact, Matthew Murdoch Mills. See the police statement below.

Police have charged a man following alleged fraud offences in the states Murrumbidgee region.

About 9.45am (Friday 5 May 2023), officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District arrested a 56-year-old man at a business in Leeton.

He was taken to Leeton Police Station and charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, make false document to obtain financial advantage and use false document to obtain financial advantage.

He was refused bail and appeared before Griffith Local Court where he was given conditional bail to appear before Leeton Local Court on Tuesday 9 May 2023.
