‘Generational change for our police officers’ – NSW Police Association president defends largest ever pay deal
New South Wales Police Association president Kevin Morton has defended the massive pay increase tellingĀ 2GB Drive they needed to do something to retain police officers.
“Financial security was important – important to our members, the cost of living is important to our members as well, but certainly recognition of their service,” he said.
It is the biggest pay increase in history for any public sector worker with the Minns government offering the association any where from 20 per cent to 39.4 per cent.
