A close contact who worked in an aged care home in Baulkham Hills has also tested positive, putting the SummitCare facility into lockdown.
With more than 100 patients and staff now in isolation across the facilities, Jim Wilson asked why the 24-year-old wasn’t vaccinated, despite working in a healthcare setting.
Health Services Union NSW Secretary Gerard Hayes told Jim it’s a “good question”.
“The rollout has been quite substandard.
“There’s also a human factor, ‘Yeah I’ll get around to it tomorrow’, which just isn’t good enough.”
