Sydney Star casino’s license suspended

The Star’s licence to operate its Sydney casino will be suspended from Friday morning, the NSW Independent Casino Commission has announced.
It follows a record $100 million fine for failing to stem criminal activity and money laundering.
An independent manager is set to be appointed.
Under the conditions of the suspension, the casino will still be able to trade.
The commission last month found The Star unfit to hold a casino licence.
