An Aussie mum has been sacked as a breastfeeding counsellor because she used the word ‘mother’ rather than the gender-neutral term ‘parent’.

The term ‘mother’ is being categorised as “hate speech” by the Breastfeeding Association- of which Jasmine Sussex has been a member of for almost two decades.

She told Ben Fordham “we all know only mums can breastfeed”.

“They say that biological men can be supported to produce lactation.”
