Federal Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says he would bring back Work for the Dole if he were Prime Minister.

Dutton told Ben Fordham that there is a “great argument” for bringing back Work for the Dole and other programs like it.

“These programs say to people, you’re unemployed, you’re able to work, there’s work out there, so why aren’t you in a job?” said Dutton.

“If they’ve got an ability to work in the current labour market, they should be able to find work,” he said.
