Ray Hadley has some stern advice for officials after a fight broke out at the Sydney passport office. 

Over the last few weeks, the Lee Street office has been inundated with applicants, resulting in long lines and tension between customers.

This culminated on Friday afternoon in a violent altercation between two families, described by a listener as “really really scary”.

“There’s no security there, you’ve got these… federal public servants dealing with crowds of people,” Ray said.

“I’d strongly suggest to the Department of Immigration… you need to get the AFP in there.”

“You don’t pay these poor public servants enough to get abused… and try to intervene with people who want to carry on like pork chops.”
