‘Buckle up or pay up’ – Seatbelt offences spike during holiday periods across NSW

During recent holiday periods, one in every 559 drivers checked on Christmas Day alone was found unbuckled.
Roads Minister Jenny Aitchison has called it “lazy” and “life-risking” behaviour, reinforcing that seatbelt use has been compulsory for over 50 years.
