Bulldogs star Josh Addo-Carr has been the subject of racist abuse online.

The Bulldogs player was a victim of cruel messages via Instagram on Australia Day.

After posting a photo with his family wearing an Aboriginal flag T-shirt, an individual commented saying, “I will stalk and degrade you on all platforms, you arrogant black MFer”.

The NRL has officially passed the issue onto the NSW Police Hate Crime Unit.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo told Jim Wilson, “It’s not good enough”.

“We all know how disgusting this type of behaviour is.”

Mr Abdo also confirmed that the individual who made the comment will be banned from any NRL games saying, “Once we know who they are, they won’t be welcome at our game”.
