The Coalition has accused Labor of potential betrayal and broken promises if they alter the Stage 3 tax cuts due on July 1 this year.

Australian Industry Group Chief Executive, Innes Willox, emphasised the importance of the cuts, stating they are akin to wage increases for millions, simplify the tax system and encourage economic growth.

Willox argued that the tax cuts are not just for the wealthy but benefit a broad spectrum of taxpayers, including middle-income earners. He stressed the cuts’ role in eliminating bracket creep, a key deterrent against earning more.
